At MentalHappy, we refer to our members, investors, and supporters as Humans. We adopted the name Humans for our tribe because we strive to end mental health stigma while honoring what makes us all uniquely human in whatever color or background of individuals. I believe what also makes us uniquely human is our ability to show empathy and change.
The past week has brought the world's attention to racial injustice and police brutality in the United States. Tragically, this is nothing new. For over 400 years, systemic racism against has persisted, infecting every institution. Therefore, eradicating racism will require collective reflection, action and empathy of all human beings.
If you're asking yourself "What can I do?"
-Listen to others
-Speak up against injustice
-Educate yourself and others
-Get involved in supporting organizations
