Part 1 Can I Send a Direct Message?

💬
Members cannot send private (direct) messages to Group Leaders. All communication happens in the group chat (Conversations tab).
🛡️
Safety & Protection
  • Reduces misunderstandings
  • Protects both members and leaders
👥
Group Support First
  • Everyone benefits from shared answers
  • No one misses important guidance
🔍
Transparency
  • Conversations visible to the group
  • Helps maintain a respectful environment
🔒
Secure Environment
  • Communication stays within the platform
  • Supports privacy and compliance standards
💡
All questions and responses stay in the group so everyone can learn together.

Part 2 How to Contact Your Group Leader

1

Open the Group Chat

What to do
  • Go to your group
  • Click or tap Conversations
What happens in the system
  • The group chat opens
  • You can view and send messages
2

Tag Your Group Leader

What to do

Type @ followed by the leader's name — for example, @JaneDoe

What happens in the system
  • The leader receives a notification
  • Your message is highlighted for them
3

Write Your Message

What to do

Ask your question clearly and concisely — one question at a time works best.

Example Message
@JaneDoe Could you share grounding tips for anxiety this week?
4

Send Your Message

What happens in the system
  • Message appears in group chat
  • Leader replies in the same thread
What happens next
  • Other members can also see and benefit from the response
  • The conversation remains saved for future reference

Part 3 Benefits of Group-Only Messaging

🌟 Why This Works Better for Everyone

  • Shared Learning: Everyone sees helpful responses — not just the person who asked
  • Stronger Community: Open conversations encourage trust and openness
  • Clear Record: Messages stay saved for easy future access
💬
Example: If one member asks about coping strategies, everyone in the group can learn from the answer — multiplying the impact of a single question.

Part 4 If You Don't Get a Response

Wait a reasonable amount of time (24–48 hours) before escalating to support.

If still no response, contact MentalHappy Support:

📱
In-App
Settings → Support Chat
Include in your message
  • Your account email
  • Group name
  • Your original question

Part 5 Good Practices When Tagging Leaders

🎯
Be ClearAsk one question at a time for the best response
🤝
Be RespectfulLeaders may not be able to respond instantly
Be PatientAllow reasonable time (24–48 hours) for replies
💬
Be SupportiveEncourage others to ask questions too

Important Notes

📌 Platform Logic

  • Only Members can tag and message in chat — Followers cannot interact
  • Leaders receive notifications when tagged with @
  • Messages remain visible to all group members
  • Do not try to message the leader outside the platform

Troubleshooting

Cannot send a message
Make sure you've joined the group as a Member (not just following)
Leader didn't respond
Wait 24–48 hours, then contact MentalHappy support
Tag not working
Check the spelling of the leader's username and try again

Your question may help others too 💜
