Contacting Your Group Leader
Overview
On MentalHappy, communication with your Group Leader happens inside the group space — not through private messages. This ensures a safe, supportive, and transparent experience for everyone.

- Understand why direct messaging is not available
- Get help if your leader doesn't respond
Before You Begin
- You must be logged into your MentalHappy account
- You must Join the group as a Member to interact
- Followers can view content but cannot message or tag leaders
Part 1 Can I Send a Direct Message?
Members cannot send private (direct) messages to Group Leaders. All communication happens in the group chat (Conversations tab).

- Click or tap Conversations

What to do
Type @ followed by the leader's name — for example, @JaneDoe
What happens in the system
- The leader receives a notification
- Your message is highlighted for them

Ask your question clearly and concisely — one question at a time works best.

- Message appears in group chat
- Leader replies in the same thread
What happens next
- Other members can also see and benefit from the response
- The conversation remains saved for future reference

Wait a reasonable amount of time (24–48 hours) before escalating to support.

Important Notes
📌 Platform Logic
- Only Members can tag and message in chat — Followers cannot interact
- Leaders receive notifications when tagged with @
- Messages remain visible to all group members
- Do not try to message the leader outside the platform
Troubleshooting
Cannot send a message
Make sure you've joined the group as a Member (not just following)
Leader didn't respond
Wait 24–48 hours, then contact MentalHappy support
Tag not working
Check the spelling of the leader's username and try again
