1. Paying to Join a Group
- Find & Select a Group: Log in via the MentalHappy app or website → Browse or search for a group.
- Group Pricing:
- Some groups are free.
- Paid groups show a price (one-time, monthly subscription, or donation-based).
- Prices are set by the Group Leader, not MentalHappy.
- Join Group: Tap/click Join Group (or “Request to Join”). Price appears before payment.
- Donation Groups: Choose to contribute or join free.
- Payment Details: Enter credit/debit card or use a saved method. A small 6% processing fee applies and shows before checkout.
- Confirm Purchase: After payment, you’ll see a ✅ Success message and the group appears in My Groups.
- If Payment Fails: Retry; duplicate charges will not occur.
💡 Example: Join a $20/month anxiety group → Tap Join → Enter card → Pay → See “✅ Success!” → Access unlocks instantly.
2. What You Get After Payment
- Private Group Chat (Conversations): Mobile-only chat with your group members and leader. No DMs allowed. Post, reply, or share anonymously.
- Live Sessions (Events): Scheduled video meetings, workshops, or webinars inside the app. Find times in the Events tab with reminders before start.
- Group Resources: Access handouts, PDFs, videos, or guides shared by your leader.
- Activities: Join polls, Q&As, themed discussions, or member introductions.
💡 Example: In a grief group, receive journaling prompts in Resources, attend a weekly video session, and connect daily in Conversations.
3. Finding Receipts/Invoices
- Email Confirmation: Sent within minutes from “MentalHappy Support” or “MentalHappy Team.”
- Search Tips: Look for “MentalHappy” or the group’s name in your inbox.
- Check Spam/Junk: If found, mark as “Not Spam.”

4. Refunds & Cancellations
- Refunds: Group Leaders manage requests. MentalHappy does not set policies, but refunds follow consumer protection laws.
- Donations: Contributions to donation-based groups are non-refundable.
- Subscriptions: Cancel anytime under My Groups → Settings → Manage Subscription.
- After Canceling: Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
