đź’ˇ Most Requested Groups & Group Ideas

Build groups where your passion meets what participants are actively requesting — with built-in demand signals from the community.

Instead of guessing what people may need, you can now browse a living list of requests submitted and upvoted by participants. These requests are demand signals: each one reflects real interest, and groups created from them often fill up faster and retain members more easily.

This feature empowers you to:

  • See demand in real time — topics participants are searching, requesting, and upvoting
  • Start groups with confidence — an audience is already waiting
  • Save time brainstorming — requests appear as ready-made ideas
  • Respond faster — launch high-demand groups sooner

🌟 Pro Tips for Creating Groups

  • Keep names relatable, not clinical.
    ✅ “Mindful Parents,” “Cycle Breakers”
    ❌ “Post-Divorce Familial Adjustment Group”
  • Clarify your audience (parents, caregivers, women, young adults, etc.)
  • Passion first — choose topics you enjoy facilitating
  • Evergreen vs. trending — grief, anxiety, parenting last long-term; digital detox or AI anxiety trend quickly
  • Test small, then expand — start with one group, add more later
  • Try different formats: book clubs, accountability check-ins, skill practice, storytelling circles
  • Keep engagement fresh: themes, reflection prompts, co-hosts, exercises
  • Make it accessible: clear language, captions, inclusive examples

🔍 How It Works

1. Browse Requested Groups

When participants search and no exact match exists, they’ll see a list of Most Requested Groups, plus a dedicated Request a Group page.

Each request shows:
• Title (original request)
• Category (e.g. Parenting, Addiction, Chronic Illness)
• Total upvotes
• Number of existing groups in that category
• [Upvote] button (participants)
• [Start This Group] button (leaders)

2. Start a Group from a Request

Click Start This Group and the group creation form opens with details pre-filled. Edit as needed and publish — a validated group, ready to go.

3. Explore the Leaderboard

A dedicated Most Requested Groups Leaderboard lets you sort by:

  • Most Upvotes
  • Most Recent
  • Alphabetical

You can filter by category and quickly identify high-demand ideas. Participants see the leaderboard too, creating momentum and FOMO.

4. Notifications & Insights

The system keeps everyone updated:

  • Participants: notified when a requested group launches.
Example: “Good news! The group you requested, [Group Name], is starting soon.”
  • Leaders: weekly digest email with Top 5 requests and upvotes.
Example: “Here’s what participants are asking for most right now: [Group A] — 42 upvotes.”

5. Why This Matters for Leaders

  • Built-in demand: no more guessing relevance
  • Faster launches: requests + auto-filled forms = quick setup
  • Better retention: participants who request or upvote are more likely to join
  • Community trust: acting on input shows leaders listen

đź’ˇ Final Reminder

The Most Requested Groups & Group Ideas feature is your shortcut to creating thriving communities. By aligning your expertise with participant demand, you’ll launch groups that begin with momentum, trust, and built-in engagement.
