1. Say Hello in the Group Chat
Group chat is available on both the app and website – it’s a private space for members only.
On the App or Website
- Open your group’s page.
- Tap or click “Conversations” (chat).
- Post a short introduction, for example:
- “Hi everyone! I’m new here and looking forward to connecting 😊.”
- “Hello, I’m [Your Name]. I joined to find support and offer it too.”
Tip: If you’re shy, start with an emoji or a simple “hi.” You can always read others’ posts until you feel ready to share.
2. Register for Your First Session
Sessions are live video meetings (30–90 mins) led by your facilitator.
On the App (iOS or Android)
- Go to your group’s “Events” tab.
- Pick a session that fits your schedule.
- Tap “Register” or “Join Session.” You’ll get reminders before it starts.
- At the time, open the app and tap “Join.”
On the Website
- Log in and go to your group’s page or “Upcoming Sessions.”
- Click a session, then “Register” or “Join Session.”
- At the time, click “Join” to enter the video meeting in your browser.
What to Expect: You can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. Listening quietly at first is completely fine.
3. Download the MentalHappy App
Even if you use the website, the app helps you stay connected on the go.
- Where to get it: Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Log in with your existing account – your groups and sessions sync automatically.
- Why use it: Get real-time chat access, instant session reminders, and easy joining from your phone.
